Kyowa Hakko Bio acts for the environment, safety, quality assurances, and social contributions as one of the important management subjects, under the leadership of Kyowa Hakko Kirin's top management.
Kyowa Hakko Kirin annually publishes a "Sustainability Report" that summarizes our group's activities to contribute to society. In 2008-9, Kyowa Hakko Bio has sponsored or participated in many activities such as volunteer support to local communities hit by torrential rains in Japan, employment of workers with disabilities, reducing emission of carbon dioxide at our plants, promoting the environment-friendly livestock industry, water pollution prevention at all our plants in globe, upgrading liquid-waste treatment facilities in China, just to name a few.
